SPANA Bridged Flying Wing
The maiden flight of this Proof Of Concept (POC) vehicle took place April 12, 2005. The airplane is a flying wing, characterized by the aerodynamic bridge, that supports the engine. It is powered by an 8 HP two-stroke twin cylinder Fuji/IMVAC gasoline engine. Wing span is approximately 12 feet.

This VTOL craft is equipped with eight electric motors each delivering 2 HP, for a total of 16 HP. Max thrust estimated at 64-80 lbs.
